Meet Matt Uhrik, DC, MS, MS
Dr. Matt Uhrik grew up in the suburbs of Chicago (Morton Grove, IL). During his childhood, he played in a wide variety of sports, including soccer, basketball, and track. In high school, he participated in four years of varsity soccer and four years of track, running in the 110 high hurdles, 300 intermediate hurdles, and pole vaulting. He participated in one year of college soccer at Oakton Community College, helping the team to Skyway Community College Conference championship and a Region IV runner-up finish. After transferring to the University of South Florida - Tampa, Dr. Uhrik pursued a degree in Business Management. It was at the University of South Florida where he met his wife, Sarah Uhrik, Esq., and was introduced to the world of chiropractic after an intramural soccer injury. Dr. Uhrik pursued his chiropractic education at the National University of Health Sciences - Lombard, Illinois and graduated in August of 2015 with his Doctorate of Chiropractic and a 100-hour certification in acupuncture. After his graduation, he and his wife moved to Central Florida to work with his father-in-law.
In his constant pursuit of advancing his knowledge to best serve his patients, Dr. Uhrik earned a Master of Science degree in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine in June of 2016 from the University of Western States - Portland, Oregon. Additionally, he has earned a Master of Science degree in Sports Science and Rehabilitation in April of 2020 from Logan University, St. Louis, Missouri, graduating with high distinction and as class valedictorian. Dr. Uhrik is currently forwarding his education through the University of Pittsburgh's Primary Spine Practitioner (PSP) certification program.
Dr. Uhrik and his wife Sarah, have two beautiful children, Ramona, and Elliot.
